I have been employed at Avans as a Smart Energy researcher since March 2023. My work experience is diverse: before that I worked in the chain of ASML as a system architect, before that at Witteveen+Bos as an energy engineering consultant and before that again as an R&D researcher. The common thread in my work is that I have to solve problems integrally and create support for the solutions I develop. My education is both Master and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from TU/e. I specialize in control engineering and high voltage.
As a researcher in smart energy, I focus on issues such as: integration of energy from wind solar, geothermal and chemical energy carriers, developing control systems capable of optimizing energy supply/demand, as well as supervising students and teaching technical subjects.
