Since January 1, 2021 I have been working as a project officer at the Biobased Resources & Energy (BRE) research group within the Centre of Expertise Biobased Economy. In this role I support the research group in writing grant applications and I am also involved as a project leader in a number of projects.
I therefore have the rewarding task to help researchers within the research group to attain projects. A versatile and challenging role, in which no day is the same.
I have been working at Avans since 2019, and previously worked as a project administrator and project controller at the finance department within Avans. Before I started working at Avans, I worked for two years as research support staff at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where I provided (practical) support to researchers in preparing grant applications and carrying out research projects. I myself have a humanities background, with a BA in American Studies, a MA in European Studies, and a MSc in Filmstudies & Visual Culture. I attended the University of Groningen, the Jagiellonian University Krakow, and the University of Antwerp.
