After my transfer to the Academy for Part-time Studies, the courses I started to teach intensified my interest in home automation and energy monitoring. Moreover, my own home from the year 1966 has yet to be made significantly more sustainable and I – as an unsuspecting citizen – am searching through the jungle of possibilities to “go off the gas” and become somewhat self-sufficient in terms of energy. I have a background in electrical engineering and (technical) computer science and am involved in practical applications of AI.
